Default Ford Cougar 2.5 Ltr 24v 3 Door Hatch Silver with X Pack

For sale is my Silver1998 Ford Cougar, just 74k miles, low milage, 2.5 litre 24v 3 door V6.

A powerful Duratec engine manual 6 gear transmission (note: Cam chain, no belt to replace).

    Maintained as standard, NO MODS.

X Pack edition, power steering electric windows central locking, air condition, full black leather interior, heated seats electric mirrors on-board computer, cd changer, All tyres are new. Original radio with 6 disc multi changer in the boot. All electrics work, starts first time today after sitting and a battery recharge, reliable and great fun to drive.

    MOT January 2021.

There is a small dink on bonnet (barely noticeable).
Windscreen cracked and waiting for new side trims to become available.
Replaced fuel pump, (dropped tank method), tail gate hydraulic struts, tyres, oil, filters, discs and pads a few years ago.
A/C needs attention as does radio (original) display out.

It's a great car but I've had my fun, smiles all the way.

Only 1 previous owner, kept on private parking space, not on road. Very low annual milage as rarely driven, very good condition, for what is becoming a rare site on our roads. Have original sales papers from new and some service history, recent servicing done by myself.

Needs to go to new home soon and can be enjoyed as it was intended, she sits and waits to go out but only travels less than 700 miles a year with me.

Can be viewed near Wallington, Surrey
    Thanks for looking

Six speed MTX75 gearbox? That would either be the Noble one with the Quaife diff or the SCi box... and on its own would be around 1200 used. Wow - someone is going to get a bargain in this car! Wish I had the space for it.
I paid for the whole rev meter, so I'm sure as hell going to use the whole rev meter.

I think that might be a typo as the pictures show the standard gearstick with 5 gears?

Interesting to hear about the different gearbox options Chris, I didn't know they even existed.

Phone number appears to have too many digits...

I suspect I saw this on eBay not so long ago, I certainly noticed one with a 6 speed in text but 5 knob.

6 speed gear box and no mods seems an unlikely combination, as Dandamano said Typo.

I've PM'd the OP to point out the typo and incorrect phone no.

Could be an innocent misunderstanding on the OP's part, counting reverse as one of the six gears.

    love it Foobar.

To be fair to the seller I suspect a genuine error rather than salesmanship. Its not something that can be hidden. What no 6th gear, Im sure it used to be there. Are you sure you cant find it ?
