J'habite a Bordeaux.

Thank you all for your very kind welcome.
I live in Bordeaux.
My cougar was redone in the US version, the lights were changed.
I have a hodd scoop to mount as well as the US Roush spoiler
I'm really a cougar fan

Vois ici :-

Welcome Cristophe !

The American taillights of course do not have the amber part for the indicators.
Instead, that part is red.
These can be seen on my Cougar - 'KRM' or 'Dominatrix'. See here :-

and also at the bottom :-

Bienvenue Christophe.

Things I have learned today. My French is rubbish, pretty scary for someone that likes France so much. I can pretty much understand what my friends have written above, but I could never have written it, well done guys.

Magnifique Cristophe!

Magnificent Cristophe !
Now I understand. You have a USA import with the USA lights.
That's very good. It looks in excellent condition.
Congratulations...

Explication

I can see where the confusion came from - US-spec tail lights, badged as a Mercury, and - interestingly - all the placards are in English, not French, (apparently Ford doesn't regionalise their cars, though some placards are in multiple languages).

Cristophe's 'Nouveau membre' post says, "My cougar was redone in the US version, the lights were changed." so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised given how many of us have done the same thing.

That's a lovely-looking car, either way.

I will use a translator
thanks for the compliment on the cougar, i also have a lot of small cars all the advertising
and I was once in Borken
Am very happy in any case among you
I'm going to have the car repainted because in Bordeaux with the heat the paint is tarnished
then I will mount the hood scoop and the ROUSH rear spoiler
