I've not done this myself but from Paul Shirtyzeus...
Disconnect the fuel filter output and put the hose in a pot. Then lift up the rear seat bolster, strip the leads and apply 12v to the pump with a spare battery via crocodile clips.
Obviously this depends on how much fuel is in there. I managed to drop and re-lift Tiger's tank (when I replaced the filler) when it was around 1/4 full. If you're just scrapping and want to reclaim the fuel, drop the tank and use a funnel. No need to overthink it really.
