....and off she goes. Nice to see you and Tracey today Chris, safe journey home and I hope she isn't too much of a naughty girl. And in answer to the "will she start first time?" sweepstake.......no, she didn't

Best of luck getting her back into shape, and as mentioned.....I may pop down to any MFSM to get her sorted

I'm usually a bit sad when a car gets driven away by a new owner......but in this case I wasn't. We just didn't get on - me and Wildcat - just one of those things. But we did have some fun times.

Oh, and another pure coincidence - it is exactly 12 months to the day that I brought her home from Tim's place.

Excellent. I've had a few like that - great cars I just didn't gel with, or had problems I couldn't solve. This is the best outcome for everyone really, would have been a shame for it to end up another breaker.

now don't talk to me about the polar bear - don't talk to me about the ozone layer
ain't too much of anything these days, even the air
they're running out of rhinos, what do I care?

I've lost money on her, but when she's all shined up she is a beauty. She has her problems, but she deserves to have love lavished on her to get her fighting fit again. I just didn't have the motivation to do it myself, but in Chris I couldn't have wished for a better caretaker for her. Wildcat has a bright future

I will look forward to a new thread by Chris, cue the music from the Six Million Dollar Man....."we can rebuild her". Hoping she didn't misbehave on the way to her new home....a little nearer to Devon lol!! I still miss Wildcat and always will. Can't believe it's a year to the day, difference being that I was sobbing and had a quivering lip....got the video to prove it.....and no your not seeing it lol!!

My Coug may be gone, but never forgotten.....

Just got home after slogging through the 80-mile roadwork that the M6 is at the moment. Great to see you both (and Keith)!

I think there may be some merit to that idea that there's some cars you just don't get along with. John, you're not going to like this... I had to stop and restart her six times (Keele services, Watford Gap (for food), Watford Gap again (petrol), at my local shops, and twice when shunting around my drive).

Aside from a little stutter at Keele - cured with a blip of the throttle, she has primed and then fired up first crank every time. Not sure what's going on, but might run some Wynn's through her. Not counting my chickens yet, either way.

Aaanyway, I'm off to start that project thread!

Yup, I've seen exactly the same - sometimes she's stubborn as a mule....others (including one where she started 8/9 times in a row and I thought maybe the problem had gone) and then she's back to being stubborn again. No rhyme or reason to it - very strange!

How does she compare to Tiger then?

Absoloutely, which is why I'm not doing any poultry mathematics just yet.

Since this is the For Sale thread and it's flagged as done, I'll leave off here and get that project thread started and do a comparison there. All I will say is... different.
