I used a hardwired steering column mounted remote, which was present and correct when I sold the car to Steve. If it is no longer there then he must have seen fit to remove it during his ownership.

Hi Rich, actually I do have that still fitted and find it useful, although there was some indication from Steve that it acted up and he had disconnected it. He also supplied a replacement and therefore undrilled steering column cover which I have not yet found a need for. I haven't yet had an issue with it, so don't know what the problem was.

I was thinking of one of these that I saw mentioned in the manual I downloaded. I had assumed it was an original accessory, but perhaps not. I guess it is designed for rear seat passengers, aka 'the kids'. My youngest is 21, so not quite applicable any more, but there is a granddaughter I suppose...

This particular stereo has been around a bit - it was originally mine many moons ago and I sold it to Simon, who eventually sold it to Rich. It did have that remote when I sold it to Simon.....must have gone missing somewhere along the line of ownership

Not to worry, it would have been a finishing touch. I'm not sure I've made Simon's acquaintance ( before editing that read 'come across' - but I would no doubt soon have had a comment from Tony ! lol )

    Thanks John...

For what it's worth, Simon hasn't been here for years. You almost certainly haven't encountered him here.
So let the light guide your way, hold every memory as you go.
And every road you take, will always lead you home.
