New cat

You could have Felix for nowt but in don't think he would have stayed packed for long before he got out and savaged someone.

Good progress, Matt.

Felix is very much settled in, he loves fuss and attention and is constantly exploring his boundaries, jumping up on every surface he can find and poking his nose into every cupboard that's opened.

Lottie is altogether more timid; she still seems rather 'on edge' but, if you're patient and sit calm and still for long enough, she'll come to you. She's so tiny though, with a real delicacy to her, you feel honoured by every tentative sniff of the hand or rub against your legs. She's a lady and her confidence needs to be earned.

So we're official. As we fully expected, the home trial went well and both cats have utterly engrained themselves into our affections.

The adoption administrator came round this afternoon and, after a short chat with us, a general look at whether the cats were happy in our home and that we are properly caring for them, we signed the paperwork and now permanently have two cats. We couldn't be happier.

We've been and gone and done it again!

For the past year or so, we've been visiting Café Meow in Blackpool at least once a month. As the name suggests, ir's a café full of cats and is affiliated to a local charity, with the aim of rehoming pusses in need of one. We've come close a few times but, last week, we finally 'broke' when we met a new arrival - Dini. We filled im the adoption application and were lucky enough to be approved, so we brought Dini home on Tuesday evening.
