I agree, but that's what will happen I'm afraid.

We talk about the permanance of the things we do online (and perhaps even fighting it sometimes), but we're rapidly finding out that sites die or change their terms, (usually to monetise the content) and we get to reap the results of that.

I've always thought that in 30 years, nobody will care about anything I ever posted. I'll certainly be dead by then. But it seems that when a site is no longer profitable in its current state, you can be forgotten in an instant, no matter what your message was.
