He will be joining the forum a little later on under his own login.

I'll let Al do any further updates but will add that I will be starting a thread in the memorial section for us to maybe have a whip round. I've asked Tim what he'd like us to do and I'll put the suggestions out in the thread.

Thanks Kully, pretty much the same conversation i had with him. He does sound in good spirits considering the situation, but i know only too well, and like a few others i'm sure that at this time he will be pretty much running numb and on auto-pilot.

Honestly? I'm getting things organised here ready for tomorrow and i feel sick, Vonny is not much better. I doubt i'm going to much different until we have given Chris the send off he deserves.

I posted a youtube video on Facebook in memory of Chris, Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms.... and just played the video and sat there and thought about him

I am sure more will be posted later.

However, today highlighted to me...this is not a car club....this is a group of friends who own the same car.

Chris was sadly taken before his time, cut today provided a fitting tribute to a departed friend.

I was today very proud to be part of this club and extremely glad I could attend

Today was a very mixed experience. One the one hand it was obviously moving and something that nobody ever wants to do, on the other it was a fantastic turnout by the club. The sheer quantity of cars and the distances the drivers of them had travelled really was a tangible illustration of how well regarded Chris was and - as Si so rightly says - that UKCougar.com is so much more than just a car club. If Chris could have seen what went on today, particularly the seeingly endless snake of Cougars in the cortege and then the car park at The Leopard afterwards, I can't help but think he'd have been impressed.

My thanks go to Tim for allowing us to share in this most personal of days, but also to each and every member of this fantastic club of ours who came together and made today what it was.
