There was an issue with the site between ~21:25 and ~22:25 on the 23rd Sept 2014.

I have restored some backup files to the system and this has cleared the problem.

There was no issue with the database.

I have not done an extensive check of the whole site, so if a page isn't working, please let me know.

Sorry for the downtime.

Regards, Mark

Hello Steve, say a 'hi' in the New Owners section and you'll be in for a proper welcome. (y)

Could any of this be the reason for RichB's post vanishing?

Nope. The post showed in the thread as "Post deleted by Scunnycougar" and Si said as much. It had nothing to do with the site problems.

it was the reason for my original post - why a post relevant to a current Group Buy (by a member who previously has remap by the same people) was deleted but not moved.

Having not been around as much over the last few days, and not being able to find any trace, there's not much i can do. If the post was deleted by scunnycougar but has since been removed permanently then unfortunately there's nothing I can do. Again, i can only assume this was a mistake and absolutely no malice intended. You know us as much as we know you John, do you think any of us would do such a thing?

No malice at all. I should have moved it but I deleted it.

The reason for moving/deletion was I had asked for the thread to be limited to posts specifically about the group buy and there was a new thread to debate the virtues of a remap.

As I have said elsewhere, nothing to do with who posted it or why, I just felt I had asked numerous times and was being ignored.

I know it's pot kettle black a little bit and I apologise for deleting rather then moving.

My mistake

I won't beat about the bush here, originally I thought that some people on here have a vested interest in this being a success, i.e. they stand to make money from it or promote a company to the extent that it gains from people going on the rolling road day, so my post wouldn't be helpful in that respect, the intent of my post was to inform people rather than to put people off. Maybe I have a fertile imagination, god knows the teachers at school always used to say so. ...................

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Having read Si's apology in the remap thread I think that my suppositions about the apparent sinister disappearance of my post in the thread being down to vested interest are wrong, it was just a clumsy clearing up exercise of the group buy thread. Lessons have probably been learned, no harm done.

I stand to make no money at all. I trying to create and event for club members to enjoy. Just for the avoidance of doubt

I apologise unreservedly for my faux pas
