Cougarfest 2019 Bramblewood 30 aug to 1st sept

I'll get a picture thread up at some point unless I get beaten to it.

Didn't take too many this year, but did yet a hilarious video of John being reunited with Wildcat. It'll need processing before I try to post it, but I swear it'll be worth the wait just for the punchline and Tony's bout of hysterics!

My first fest and had a great time, really nice place and good to see you all again guys. Already looking forward to next year. Cheers [emoji482]

Great to see you Jon, and you were certainly very welcome and great fun to be around.

In fact, let me be the first to thank you for making that 220-mile journey to be there with us. Cougarfest was very late this year and I understand that there's late holiday and back-to-school stuff going on, so you making that effort was appreciated.

Hope you had an easy drive home!

We decided not to stay tonight so set off home as Tony left to continue his road trip. Arrived home about 4.45pm, probably a 90minute drive. Chilling now with a cuppa and aching feet. I'll post with more later.

From Matt, in the photo thread for this year's 'Fest:

Just a brilliant relaxing weekend, would be lovely to see many more next year!

This was a bone of contention for some. Although those of us who attended had a great time, there weren't enough of us.

Being reasonable, the timing was unfortunate. So some present today have taken the decision to provisionally book next year (end of July) so that we don't miss a decent slot. I don't think that anything is cast in stone - it's essentially a bookmark - but I support it myself because I want to see more of us there, regardless of what anyone is driving.

A post/sticky will be posted soon enough, and I'm sure we'll have plenty of time for healthy discussion.

It's in the pipe Chris, i had a word with Steve before i left today and we (admin) will be notifying our new events co-ordinator in due course. Announcements will be posted. (y)

Great weekend with the gang! Special thanks to Tony for the shelter in his awning and vodka! Also nice to meet John from down south! Let’s hope next year we can have a few more attendees!

Amen, Mick. We mostly had the weather with us, but without that awning there would've been a number of mini-fests happening in the larger tents from time to time!

And on that subject, it's been a great drying day today, (warm, sunny and a nice breeze) so I was finally able to engage in Nylon Origami and get that comically large tent packed away. Not sure I did it entirely right but it fits in the bag and the bag closes, so... (y)

After my shenanigans last week, this fest just topped it off for me, spending a few days with some good friends in a very chilled location, just rounded it off perfectly (y) upon arrival at West Wales Airport I discovered that not only had I not clamped up the alko hitch lol but my harness cable had been dragging and wore a hole in it, so some minor repairs before setting off home on Thursday, but small thing compared to the epic week I've had :)
